The CBR Institute for Biomedical Research is located at 800 Huntington Avenue, a five minute walk from Harvard Medical School.
From HMS/Longwood Medical Area:
From the HMS campus, cross Huntington Avenue and proceed past Brigham Circle and Wait and Mission streets. CBR is located in a two-story building between Mission Street and Frawley Street.
Using public transportation (the MBTA):
Using the Green Line:
- From downtown Boston – take the Green Line E train (Heath/Lechmere; schedule) outbound to Fenwood (the stop right after Brigham Circle). Cross Huntington Avenue and walk two blocks (past Wait Street and Mission Street).
- From the west of Boston – take the Green Line D train (Riverside/Lechmere; schedule) to Brookline Village. From Brookline Place, cross Brookline Avenue and follow Boylston Street (Route 9) to Huntington Avenue. Continue along Huntington Avenue to Frawley Street. CBR is located between Frawley Street and Mission Street.
Using Buses:
- Route 39 (schedule) – from Back Bay Station and Copley Square. The bus follows the same route as the Green Line E train. Get off at Fenwood and walk to CBR. (If approaching from Heath Street, the bus stops right in front of the CBR.)
- Route 66 (schedule) – from Harvard Square. The bus goes along Harvard Street to Brookline Village and then along Huntington Avenue. The bus stops right in front of the CBR. (If approaching from Dudley, the bus goes along Tremont Street to Huntington then stops at the Fenwood train stop).
